Newport News, Va. - A man is in the hospital recovering after police say he was shot by someone riding a bicycle in Newport News on Wednesday.
Police say at around 2:57 p.m., medics and officers were notified about a shooting in the 1000 block of 35th Street.
When officers arrived, they were told that a 41-year-old man and a woman were outside arguing when another man rode up on a bicycle and fired several shots.
The victim was hit once and he ran to a nearby home.
He was then taken to a local hospital with possible life-threatening injuries.
After arriving in the area, an officer found and detained a man who they say fit the description.
He is now being questioned.
No other details have been released.
