Norfolk, Va. – A Texas man was cited for attempting to bring a loaded semi-automatic handgun onto a plane at Norfolk International Airport on Sunday, April 10.

This 9mm handgun was found as it passed through Norfolk International Airport security
Transportation Security Administration officers stopped the man at the security checkpoint after the 9 mm handgun, loaded with 12 rounds, was discovered by the X-Ray machine.
Officers immediately contacted the Norfolk Airport Authority Police, who responded, confiscated the gun and issued the man a citation on a state weapons charge.
