Man wanted in Suffolk for reportedly stabbing his girlfriend

SUFFOLK, Va. – Suffolk Police are looking for a man believed to be involved in a stabbing that took place April 12.

Police say they received a call that morning at 11:41 a.m. after acquaintances of 62-year-old Jerlean Wiggins Brown found her inside a home in the 200 block of Charlotte Avenue suffering from a stab wound to the torso.

Suffolk Fire & Rescue crews provided Brown with treatment and transported her to a local hospital with a non-life threatening injury.

Police discovered that Brown’s boyfriend, 45-year-old David Eugene Moore, was responsible for the incident.

Moore is a black male, approximately 5’5” and 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He is wanted for a charge of Aggravated Malicious Wounding.
