BERTIE COUNTY, N.C. – The Bertie County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the murder of a Kelford man, according to Bertie County Sheriff John Holley.
The incident happened at 118 David Drive just before 3 p.m. Thursday.
Authorities have identified the victim as 18-year-old Shaquan Taylor. Sheriff Holley says he was found dead inside his home from an apparent gunshot wound
The sheriff says this murder is not related to the case where the naked decapitated body of escaped inmate Kelvin Singleton was found.
