Norfolk, Va. – Tidewater Community College has been recognized as one of 10 top digital community colleges in a national survey by The Center for Digital Education (CDE).
The survey analyzes how community colleges use a range of technologies to improve services to students, faculty, staff and the community at large. Award winners demonstrated innovative uses of technology, including online courses and mobile environments, mobile apps, secure platforms and wireless networks.
TCC tied for 10th in the large college category, which consists of community colleges with enrollments of 10,000 or more.
Two other Virginia community colleges — J. Sargeant Reynolds and Thomas Nelson, were also recognized in the large college category.
The top 10 schools were honored on April 10 in Chicago during the American Association of Community College’s annual conference.
