SUFFOLK, Va. – Police are investigating a strong armed robbery that happened at a 7-Eleven Wednesday night.
Officers were called to the store in the 1100 block of Portsmouth Blvd. shortly after 7:45 p.m.
The investigation revealed that a man jumped over the counter and used force to get cash from the register. He then ran from the store and left the parking lot at a high rate of speed in a black Cadillac with Virginia plates with the last digits of -1111.
No weapons were used during the incident and no one was injured.
The suspect was described as a black male in his mid 30’s, approximately 5’6” to 5’7” tall, weighing about 230 to 240 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black ball cap with white lettering, a white shirt and dark colored jeans.
