Four people shot in Norfolk just hours apart

NORFOLK, Va. – Police in Norfolk are investigating four different shootings in four separate incidents that all occurred in one night.

Police say on Monday at 7:30, they were called out to the 1500 block of Spruce Street about reports of a possible gunshot victim. They found an 18-year-old man suffering from non-life threatening injuries.

He did not want treatment but he a friend took him to Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital.

Then at 10 p.m, police were called to the 1700 block of Cypress Street. There they found a 43-year-old man with an apparent gunshot wound. They say two suspects tried to break into his home and he was shot during the incident.

He was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening injuries.

Then less than an hour later at 10:45 p.m., a 17-year-old was shot in the 800 block of A Avenue. He also suffered non-life threatening injuries.

At midnight, a 38-year-old man walked into Bon Secours Depaul Medical Center with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. He says it happened in the 8400 block of Hampton Boulevard when someone robbed him and then shot him.

Police say these incidents are not related.
