CHESAPEAKE, Va. – A man was sent to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car, according to police.
On Tuesday at around 8:30 p.m., police responded to Canal Drive near Military Highway after a 63-year-old man was struck by a car.
Police say the man was walking in the roadway of Canal Drive when he was hit by a vehicle traveling southbound.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured. The accident is currently under investigation.
