Meteorologist Myles Henderson’s First Warning Forecast
Warm and windy… We will start in the 60s this morning but highs will warm into the mid 80s this afternoon, about 15 degrees above normal. Expect sunshine this morning with clouds building in during the afternoon. Scattered showers are possible tonight as a cold front settles in from north to south. A few rumbles of thunder are possible.
The front will stall out and linger over the Mid-Atlantic through most of the work week. Expect mostly cloudy skies and scattered showers on Wednesday with the highest rain chance Wednesday night. It will be cooler tomorrow with highs in the upper 60s. Locations in NC could warm into the 70s.
Showers and storms are possible on Thursday as an area of low pressure moves in along that stalled front line. A few showers could linger into Friday before the fronts finally move east. Expect highs in the 70s to end the work week.
