The amphibious dock landing ship USS Oak Hill (LSD 51) pulled into Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek homeport on May 3.

Oak Hill returned from a seven-month deployment to the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet area of operations along with the multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) and the amphibious transport dock ship USS Arlington (LPD 24).

The group left Hampton Roads in October after being delayed by several days by Hurricane Joaquin.

In November, the group’s aviation team launched missions against ISIS in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.
