WWII liberty Ship SS John W. Brown to open for public tours at Nauticus

Norfolk, Va. – Nauticus is allowing visitors to step aboard the SS John W. Brown.

This World War 2 ship will be docked at Nauticus, Half Moon Cruise,  and Convention Center on May 20th, and 21st.

The Ship will also embark on a day cruise on May 22nd for ticketed passengers.

Passengers on the ship will be able to see military presentations, historical re-enactors, watch flybys of WWII aircraft, and be served lunch.

Deadline to sign up for the cruise is this Monday May 9th.

The SS John W. Brown is one of only two operational liberty ships, which once numbered 2,710 counterparts during the war.

A large amount of these ships were lost in combat and other causes.
