RICHMOND, Va. – The Virginia Lottery announced Thursday morning that two $50,000 winning Powerball tickets from Wednesday’s drawing were sold in Virginia — including one in Virginia Beach.
A total of 43,532 winning tickets were sold in Virginia, but no one anywhere matched all six numbers to win the jackpot.
The winning numbers were 30, 47, 57, 66, 69 and 3 was the Powerball.
Two tickets that each won $50,000 in Wednesday night’s drawing were bought at:
- 7-Eleven, 1575 Mill Dam Road in Virginia Beach
- 7-Eleven, 7001 Dale Blvd. in Woodbridge
The Powerball jackpot for Saturday night’s drawing now sits at $415 million.
At peak times on Saturday, the Virginia Lottery expects to sell 1,600 Powerball tickets per minute across Virginia. A total of 800,000 tickets are expected to be sold.
If one ticket matches all six numbers, the winner will have a choice: either take the full $415 million jackpot in 30 annual payments, or choose a one-time cash option of approximately $269.7 million before taxes.
This is the largest jackpot since the record-shattering $1.58 billion Powerball jackpot for the January 13 drawing.
