Police investigating shooting in Ghent area of Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. – Police are investigating a shooting in Ghent that left one person injured.

The shooting was reported Saturday just after 10 p.m. on Graydon and Colley Avenue.

When police arrived, they found a 32-year-old man with a gunshot wound.

The man told police that while he was walking, two men came up to him with guns and demanded his money.

The suspects ran away before police arrived.

The victim was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment, but is expected to be okay.

A Norfolk officer was seriously injured in a crash while responding to the shooting. The other driver involved in the crash was killed.
