Kill Devil Hills cops search for 3 stolen guns after owner leaves vehicle unlocked

KILL DEVIL HILLS, N.C. – Detectives at the Kill Devil Hills Police Department are currently searching for three stolen guns they say were taken out of a vehicle in the 1700 block of Sioux Street between Monday and Tuesday morning.

A fourth gun was also thought to have been stolen but was located by the owner after the initial police report was made.

According to police, the guns were taken out of unlocked car .

Police have identified the three stolen guns as:

- a Ruger SR9 C 9mm,

- a Seecamp .32 caliber, and

- a Colt Cobra lightweight. 38 special

Police are encouraging residents to lock their cars.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Dare Community Crimeline by calling (252) 473-3111. If your anonymous tip leads to an arrest, you could get up to $1,000 cash.
