Man wanted in connection to 3 Portsmouth robberies

PORTSMOUTH, Va. – Portsmouth Police are looking for a man responsible for the robbery of a CVS Pharmacy on Friday night. They say they believe the same man is also responsible for two other robberies on Saturday morning.

Police say the man entered the CVS store in the 1800 block of Frederick Boulevard around 9 p.m. Friday night. While implying he had a gun, the man demanded money from the employee.

The employee complied with the demands and the man then fled from the store in an unknown direction.

No one was injured.

Detectives believe that the same man is also involved in two other robberies that occurred Saturday morning in Portsmouth.

The first robbery occurred at 7:30 a.m., at the Advanced Auto Parts store located at 2401 Airline Boulevard. The second robbery occurred at 10:15 a.m., at BJ’s Oils and Sports Shop located at 3617 Turnpike Road.

In both robberies the man implied he had a weapon and demanded money. The employees of the businesses complied with the suspect’s demands and no one was injured.

The man is described as a black male standing approximately 5’10”-6′ tall and weighing 225-250 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt, black pants, white sneakers, and a black and red baseball cap.
