Chief Meteorologist Patrick Rockey’s First Warning Forecast
Hope you got that lawn mowed this weekend, because there won’t be many opportunities for dry weather over the next week.
Wednesday will bring us more rain, but mainly in the morning hours. A few lingering showers are possible in the afternoon and evening. It will also become breezy in the afternoon with a gusty northeast wind making highs in the mid-to-upper 60s feel cooler.
We don’t expect a ton of rain on Thursday, but we’re not expecting much sunshine either. Some mist and drizzle and a few showers are likely with high temperatures in the upper 60s.
Friday is our best opportunity for sunshine over the next week. But we will see a few more clouds building in the afternoon with high temperatures in the low-to-mid 70s.
A storm system from the Gulf of Mexico will work it’s way up the East Coast this weekend. That will bring us a very good chance for showers and thunderstorms on Saturday and some rain on Sunday.
And it looks like more scattered showers and storms are even possible well into next week.
