NORFOLK, Va. – Score a home run in hurricane preparedness with the Norfolk Tides.
Weather and emergency management professionals from Norfolk, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach and the Navy will be there.
The event will be at Harbor Park on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 7:00 p.m.
While the Tides calm the PawSox of Pantucket, you can learn how to prepare for this hurricane season.
Here are a few of the many things you will be able to learn – in between innings:
- How to register for public safety alerts
- Make disaster supply kits
- How to get involved
- Finding out if there are available pet shelters
Local and state meteorologists and the National Flood Insurance Program will also be at the event.
