Shots fired into car in Norfolk neighborhood

NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk Police say they are investigating shots fired into a car.

Police were called to the area of Nathan Avenue and Media Avenue around 6:30 a.m. Thursday morning.

A woman told them she found two bullet holes in her car and that some items were stolen out of her parents’ car.

Police say no one was able to get in the car where the shots were fired. There was a purse sitting in the passenger seat.

According to Public Information Officer,  Daniel Hudson, thefts from cars are up this year compared to last year.
