VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – After 30 years of being an “in case you missed it” discount theater, Cinema Cafe at Pembroke Meadows will bring brand new movies to their weekly slate.
The first new movie to be shown at the theater will be X-Men: Apocalypse at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 26.
The theater will show Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows the following week.
Pembroke’s ticket prices will also change with the new format. The price changes will be posted on CinemaCafe.com by Wednesday, May 25.
Cinema Cafe will offer a $3 food and beverage voucher with the purchase of an admission ticket from May 27 to June 2 to make the transition for premiere admission prices easier.
The dinner movie chain, which is locally owned and operated, recently celebrated the 30th anniversary of opening its original location at Pembroke Meadows.
The Pembroke location recently finished renovations to update their look.
The Greenbrier Mall Cinema Cafe location will still keep the old format and show movies at a discount after they leave the premiere theater circuit.
