NORFOLK, Va. – Crews will begin work on the Terminal Boulevard Resurfacing Project in the City of Norfolk on June 3.
The work will start near the Port of Virginia and Naval Station Norfolk.
The full directional closure work hours will be 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. on weeknights and 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday on weekends.
Construction on Terminal Boulevard Eastbound will continue every weeknight and weekend until crews complete all work in that direction. Access to neighborhoods will be maintained through Diven Street or Meredith Street during full closures.
There will be no work on major holidays and all lanes will be open during rush hour. Traffic will be detoured using I-564/Admiral Taussig Boulevard and Hampton Boulevard.
The project is set to be completed in January 2017.
