Virginia Beach, Va. – The City of Virginia Beach Fire Department has announced a new Deputy Fire Chief.
District Chief Vance Cooper will be the newest Deputy Chief for the city.
Cooper has with the Virginia Beach Fire Department since 1990 and has held the position of District Chief for the past nine years.
He is also a Task Force Leader for VA-TF2, an urban search and rescue team.
The promotion is effective June 7.
