NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Firefighters battled a fire in the 1000 block of Palmerton Drive Wednesday evening.
The call came in at 5:48 p.m.
Fire officials say the fire was confined to the kitchen and controlled quickly.
There is no word if the occupants of the home will be displaced.
There were no reports of injuries.
