NORFOLK, Va. - Norfolk's largest one-day festival is back. PrideFest will take place in Town Point Park with the theme "Love Unites".
The event is part of Pride Week, which began on June 11.
PrideFest will be awarding scholarships to students, hosting performers Betty Who and country singer Billy Gilman, and providing education on LGBTQ history. WTKR's own Blaine Stewart will be one of the emcees for the event.
Michael Berlucchi, president of Hampton Roads Pride stated, “PrideFest 2016 is shaping up to be the largest and most impactful LGBT community event Hampton Roads has ever seen. The festival and surrounding events are meant to raise visibility around our region's LGBT and allied communities. It also gives us a chance to celebrate what makes us special and unique."
