Two injured in Virginia Beach robbery, shooting

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Two people were injured early Friday morning during a robbery in Virginia Beach.

Police responded to the 3700 block of Windlass Circle around 2:40 a.m. in reference to a fight.

Officers later learned it was a robbery taking place.

Two victims were approached by four men who took property from them. As the men were leaving, one fired a single round from a gun, but no one was hit.

The victims were transported to the hospital to be treated for injuries sustained during the robbery.

Police have not released information regarding suspects or extent of the injuries.
