PORTSMOUTH, Va. – One man has life threatening injuries after a serious vehicle crash at the intersection of George Washington Highway and Victory Boulevard Friday.
According to police, he was transported by Nightingale to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Southbound George Washington Highway, heading into Chesapeake, was shut down for about three hours while the accident was investigated.

Witnesses say it appears as if a passenger vehicle slammed into the back of a wood chipper truck.
