Shots fired at a vehicle after a robbery in Chesapeake

CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Shots were fired at a vehicle after a robbery, according to Chesapeake Police.

Police responded to a Sam’s Stop and Shop food mart located in the 1200 block of Bainbridge Blvd. for a robbery.

A male suspect entered the store with a handgun and demanded money and cigarettes. After exiting the store, the suspect robbed a pedestrian of money.

The suspect then went back to a dark colored BMW, which was occupied by three other black males.

A private citizen witnessed the suspect enter the BMW and proceeded to approach the suspect vehicle with his vehicle.

When the suspects realized the citizen may have witnessed the crime they fired several gunshots at the citizen’s vehicle.

Although gunshots hit the vehicle, the citizen was not injured and the suspects fled the scene.

The suspect who committed the store robbery was wearing a mask and they are all being described as between the ages of 18-22 years old.
