Hampton, Va – Police say 86 year-old Harry Lee Davis of Hampton died Saturday after he was hit by a car Friday night, at the intersection of Big Bethel Road and Villiage Drive.
The accident happened just before 9:00pm.
A blue, four-door, Chevrolet sedan was traveling southbound on Big Bethel Road when it hit Davis, who was a pedestrian, according to police.
The driver remained at the scene and was not injured.
Davis sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital by medics. He later succumbed to his injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
