Military Hwy Pedestrian-vehicle crash.
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Indian River Road and S. Military Highway on Wednesday.
According to Virginia Beach Police, an elderly woman was taken to the hospital with multiple injuries. Police say she is in serious condition.
Investigators say the woman was crossing S. Military Highway when she was struck. She was not in the crosswalk when the incident happened.
Police say neither speed nor alcohol appear to be factors in this case.
Southbound lanes of Military Highway are back open to traffic.
