NORFOLK, Va.- June 14 is World Blood Donor Day and the American Red Cross is teaming up with Nexcare to seek out donations from new and veteran donors.
The Red Cross records show that every two seconds, someone in America needs blood. One donation can save up to three lives, and nearly five million Americans need a transfusion each year.
Along with supermodel Niki Taylor, Nexcare has created Nexcare Give, an organization dedicated to "Feel the Beat, Give Blood."
On NexcareGive.com, one can sign up to find their local donation center, and register to give. Supporters that donate will receive a free limited-edition Nexcare bandage with the "Feel the Beat, Give Blood" theme, and are encouraged to share their personal blood donation stories with the hashtag #GiveInspires on Twitter, Instagram, and other social media platforms.
