Coast Guard rescues three from disabled boat near Oregon Inlet

boatWILMINGTON, N.C. — The Coast Guard rescued three men Thursday after their boat became disabled about 40 miles southeast of Oregon Inlet.

Crews were called to assist the 28-foot pleasure craft Great Lady around 10 a.m.

Air Station Elizabeth City sent a C-130 aircraft crew and Station Oregon Inlet launched a 47-foot Motor Life Boat crew to help.

The boat crew started towing the disabled vessel around 6 p.m.

Around midnight, the vessel arrived at Oregon Inlet Boat Ramp in Oregon Inlet.

No injuries or pollution were reported.
