OAKLAND, Calif. – The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated Golden State Warriors in Game 7 to win the NBA Finals 4-3. This is the first professional sports title for the city of Cleveland since 1964.  Lebron James led the way for the Cavaliers with 27 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists. Kyrie Irving added 26 points. The Cavs are the first team to ever come back from being down 3-1 in an NBA Finals series.

Lebron James won his third NBA Finals MVP. Over the series, James averaged 29 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists. He became the third player to log a triple-double in Game 7 of the NBA Finals, joining former Lakers Jerry West in 1969 and James Worthy in 1988.

The Warriors were led by Draymond Green’s 32 points.
