Cigarette causes apartment fire in Virginia Beach

Virginia Beach, Va. — Firefighters received a call about an apartment on fire located at 700 Hollygreen Circle drive shortly after 11:30a.m.

When they arrived to the Holleygreen Apartments, they found a fire coming from the third floor balcony, the fire was put out in fifteen minutes.

Two people live in the apartment, they were not injured, and will not be displaced.

It was determined the cause of the fire was because someone put a cigarette out improperly.
