VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - “You want the pictures removed right?” That was the comment allegedly used over and over again by a man threatening to release nude photos of a 17-year-old cheerleader in Virginia Beach.

It’s a scam that started innocently. According to a search warrant, an individual using the screen name ‘heart.niaa’ on Instagram, contacted the 17-year-old, and told her that a photo of herself was on a porn website.

He said he could remove the photo if she did three things: have a skype conversation with him, pay him $30, and meet him in person.

Despite knowing she was underage, the suspect – who also goes by the username ‘_jetlyfee’ on Kik – told her take of her clothes, and “perform provocative things” to turn him on, according to the search warrant.

The teen later blocked ‘_jetlyfee’ and ‘heart.niaa’ on Instagram, Skype and Kik. However, according to the search warrant, that is when “one of the suspects” sent nude screen shots and videos “to most of her friends on the cheerleading team.”

The search warrant states that the suspect even threatened to send nude photos of the 17-year-old cheerleader to her parents, “and all of her friends on Instagram” if she did not skype with him again, send him more money and send nude photos of herself in provocative positions.

It is unclear if there was more than one person working to threaten the 17-year-old girl.

We reached out to ‘_jetlyfee’ on Kik, but he did not write us back. The suspect(s) could face child pornography charges depending on the outcome of the investigation, due to the age of the victim.

We reached out to Virginia Beach police, and are still awaiting a response regarding the status of the case.
