Hampton Police arrest man wanted in connection to shooting

UPDATE: DeMichael Peeples was located and arrested on August 2 without incident thanks to a Crime Line tip.

HAMPTON, Va. – Hampton Police need your help finding a man wanted in connection to a shooting that took place in May.

Suspect: DeMichael Jabree Peeples

Wanted for: Use of Firearm in Commission of Felony, Discharge Firearm on or near School Property, Maiming

According to police, on May 15th they were called to the Tide Mill Shopping Center on N. Armistead Ave. for a shooting victim.

At the scene, they found a man with a non life-threatening gunshot wound.

Police are searching for DeMichael Peeples in connection to this shooting and say he should be considered armed and dangerous.

They’re also trying to identify a second suspect in this case.
