Tracking strong to severe storms tonight, then a little more rain on Friday….The First Warning Storm Team continues to track the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms this evening and tonight as a cold front approaches the area.

For most of this Thursday afternoon, expect partly to mostly cloudy skies. A few isolated showers are possible. But the bulk of the rain and storms will arrive this evening. Any storms that develop could produce damaging winds, hail and heavy rain, capable of producing localized flooding. Scattered showers and storms are possible through the overnight. Otherwise, expect mostly cloudy skies. We’ll monitor the situation from the weather center through the night. High temperatures will be in the upper 80s to near 90 today. Lows will be in the mid 70s.

The cold front will slow down a bit into Friday. That means we’ll have a chance of rain and thunderstorms in the forecast. Otherwise, we’ll see partly to mostly cloudy skies with highs in the mid 80s. The front will slide south of the area by Saturday. However, it will be close enough that we’ll hang on to a few more clouds on Saturday and even a couple of isolated showers. Highs will be in the upper 70s and lower 80s Saturday. We’ll see more sun by Sunday.

Today: Partly to Mostly Cloudy, Scattered Showers/Storms(40%). Highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s. Winds: SW 10-20+

Tonight: Mostly Cloudy, Scattered Showers/Storms(50%). Lows in the mid 70s. Winds: SW 5-15

Tomorrow: Mostly Cloudy, Scattered Showers/Storms(40%). Highs near 80. Winds: N/NE 5-15
