PORTSMOUTH, Va. – One person was injured in a shooting that happened early Friday morning.
Officers were called to the intersection of Howard Street and Hickory Street just after 1 a.m.
When officers arrived, they found one man suffering a gunshot wound to his upper body.
Medics took the man to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
According to police, the man was shot in the 100 block of Howard Street and ran to Hickory Street.
