NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Tradition Brewery, the first craft brewery in Newport News, is officially open for business.
The brewery is located at the City Center at Oyster Point and has a tasting room, 20 barrel brew house and a private event space.
There will be a grand opening including food trucks and live music on June 25 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Visitors can even take tours of the brewery at designated times.
According to the brewery’s website, Head Brewer Dan Powell began making beer over 25 years ago. Powell and four Newport News natives opened up the brewery.
