WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Coach & Livestock team at Colonial Williamsburg has decided on a name for their newborn bull calf.
The little guys name is…Fredrick the Great, also known as Fred!
Fred is named after photographer and friend of Colonial Williamsburg Fred Blystone. Blystone was the photographer who caught the calf’s first steps on camera!
The calf was born just before 4 p.m. on June 20. The calf was born into Colonial Williamsburg’s Rare Breeds Program, a program created to represent animals that could have been present in Williamsburg during the 18th century.
According to Colonial Williamsburg’s Facebook page, the newborn calf and his mom, Pi, are doing great.
