VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The 4th annual Stamp Out Stigma Golf Outing will raise proceeds to help the nonprofit organization, National Military Family Association (NMFA).
The NMFA provides support and guidance for military members and their families.
The outing will be July 19 at the Bayville Golf Club in Virginia Beach.
“Behind our brave service men and women, there are family members who share in their sacrifice and provide unending support,” said Kerry Mooney, President, ValueOptions Federal Services, Inc. “We are so proud to support the National Military Family Association and the important advocacy work they do on behalf of our military families, including the association’s vital programs and services.”
Net proceeds from this year’s outing will help NMFA’s program, Operation Purple.
The operation supports camps that help children deal with a parent’s deployment; family retreats that aim to help strengthen families after deployment; and its healing adventures program for families of service members who are wounded, ill or injured.
The funds will also help provide scholarships to military spouses, as well as support many other programs.
