VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – An 8-year-old boy was taken to a hospital Saturday afternoon after nearly drowning at an apartment complex.
According to emergency dispatchers, it happened at 2:22 p.m. in the 3600 block of Malibu Palms Dr.
The boy was already out of the water when first responders got to the scene.
According to emergency dispatchers, the boy was conscious and breathing as he was taken to a hospital and he is expected to survive.
