NORFOLK, Va. – Police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead and sent another man to the hospital.
The call came in just after 2:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Police responded to the 1100 block of Church Street and saw a man inside of a car suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Medics took the man to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he later died. He has been identified as 22-year-old Daquan Martin of Suffolk.
While investigating the shooting, police learned of another gunshot victim involved in the incident.
Someone brought the second victim, a 21-year-old man, to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
