NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – A 55-year-old Newport News man was shot Saturday evening after an argument with another man.
It happened in the 900 block of Emma Kate Court, which is off of 76th Street.
According to Newport News Police, two men were arguing. When the victim turned to walk away, the other man shot him in the buttocks with a handgun.
The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police have identified the suspect as Howard Hunter, 50, of Newport News. He is charged with malicious wounding and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
