VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – A 33-year-old woman died early Tuesday after the truck she was driving hit a parked car, then crashed into the Bank @lantec at 501 South Independence Boulevard, near Mount Trashmore.

Police say the accident happened just before 3 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Police say the woman, 33-year-old Misty Dawn Luce, was driving a stolen 2006 Dodge Ram truck eastbound on S. Independence Boulevard  when the truck drifted across all four lanes of traffic and over-corrected,  drifting to the left  until she reached the 7-Eleven at Edwin Drive.

Luce then began to drift to the right until she left the road, traveled between two poles, up an embankment, launched 40-50 feet and hit a parked truck. Luce’s truck then rolled onto its roof and came to a stop against the Bank @lantec.

The Fatal Accident Crash Team was immediately dispatched to the accident because of its severity.

Luce was transported to the hospital where she died.

The crash is still being investigated at this time. Further updates will be given as they become available.
