NORFOLK, Va. - Taco, a Navy Veteran's service dog, is back with his family.
According to Darcy Hendrix, one of Taco's owners, he was stolen from his backyard on Saturday, July 2. The family searched the neighborhood and put up fliers to find the dog. On Tuesday, Hendrix spoke exclusively to News 3 about their search for Taco.
Hours after the News 3 report aired, Taco was found. Neighbors reported seeing a dog left on the side of the road by a car on Monday. They say they were planning on bringing the dog to the SPCA when they saw the report. They contacted Hendrix and reunited Taco with his family.
