SUFFOLK, Va. – In honor of the 100th anniversary of Mr. Peanut’s creation, the Suffolk Public Library and the Suffolk-Nansemond Historic Society will host an event remembering the creator, Antonio Gentile.
Gentile’s nephew, Robert Slade, will be at the historic Philips-Dawson House on July 12 from 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. to share his story and ties to the Obici family.
An exhibit featuring Gentile’s original copies and some refreshments will be available.
The event is free to the public so come celebrate Mr. Peanut’s 100th birthday!
