DALLAS, Texas – Officers in Dallas searched the parking garage at police headquarters Saturday for a suspicious person after they reportedly received an “anonymous threat.”
According to updates posted on the Dallas Police Dept. Twitter page, officers conducted a systematic search of the parking lot but no person or items were found.
By around 8:50 p.m., they reported that police employees were allowed to access their vehicles and leave.
Police said earlier information that the police headquarters was on lockdown was incorrect.
At one point, police asked media to stop broadcasting live video from the scene for the safety of the officers.
