The heat and humidity are coming back in a big way….Brace yourself! We’re tracking triple digit heat index values just in time for the weekend.

As we move through our Thursday afternoon, enjoy it! High temperatures will be in the mid 80s under a mix of sun and clouds. A couple of isolated showers and storms could develop this afternoon, but once we lose the daytime heating, a lot of that rain will dissipate. Otherwise, we’ll see mostly clear to partly cloudy skies tonight. Lows will be in the lower 70s.

Then, get ready for the heat and humidity! On Friday, under mostly sunny skies, high temperatures will climb into the lower 90s. By Saturday and Sunday, we’ll see highs in the mid 90s. However, with dew points in the mid 70s, we’re expecting heat index values in the triple digits this weekend, so take your precautions. An isolated shower or storm is possible this weekend. The extreme heat will continue into Monday with highs in the mid 90s.

Today:  Sun and Cloud Mix. Isolated Showers/Storms (20%). High temperatures in the mid 80s. Winds: NE/E 5-10 mph.

Tonight: A Few Clouds. Low temperatures in the low 70s. Winds: SE/SW 5-10 mph.

Tomorrow: Mostly Sunny and Hot. High temperatures in the low 90s. Winds: SW 5-10 mph.
