NORFOLK, Va. – A 26-year-old Chesapeake man was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals on Thursday. He was wanted for allegedly robbing a Portsmouth Family Dollar store on July 15.
Portsmouth Police officers responded to the store that day after receiving calls about a robbery in progress. The suspect was gone when officers arrived but detectives were able to identify 26-year-old Travis Jones as the suspect.
Warrants were issued, charging him with Robbery and Use or Displaying a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony.
Jones was located at his home in the 3000 block of Welcome Road in Chesapeake and taken into custody without incident.
He’s currently being held in the Portsmouth City Jail.
