PORTSMOUTH, Va. - Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in the 3400 block of George Washington Highway Saturday night.
Officials say a man armed with a handgun walked into the Family Dollar store and demanded money around 8 p.m.
Once he got the cash, he ran from the scene.
No one was hurt during the incident.
