Redskins went through their first padded practice Saturday afternoon.

Richmond, Va. - After their first off day, the Redskins resumed training camp this morning at 10:35 a.m. After the first padded practice, the players took part in another one during the afternoon session.

Head coach Jay Gruden talked to the media before the 3:00 p.m. practice. During that press availability, Gruden praised the Redskins secondary - calling it the best set of defensive backs since he arrived in Washington, and one of the best units he's been around.

NFL officials visited camp Monday, as head linesman Clete Blakeman made a presentation to the team (and media members who cover the team) about the league's new rules for 2016. Those points of emphasis include outlawing all chop blocks and instituting a policy that any player who receives  two personal foul penalties in a single game is ejected from that contest.
